rospera Credit Union is excited to announce that one of its Board Directors, Angela Kaiser, has won the PEAK Award in the category of Significant Board Contribution, awarded each year by the Association of Women in Finance (AWF). Nominees for the Significant Board Contribution PEAK Award are female finance professionals who have made meaningful, outstanding and unique contributions to the board that they work on; have shown significant leadership, oversight, and stewardship on their board; and have seen the board they work with progress during their involvement.

Angela has been a member of the Prospera Board of Directors since 2001, serving as Audit Chair from 2004 to 2009, Vice Chair from 2008 to 2010 and Board Chair from 2010 to 2015. In this time, she has worked closely with the Board to provide oversight and strategic direction. Her educational background and experience, skills and passion are just some of her attributes that enable her to provide valuable input to the Board. She believes strongly in loyalty to members, commitment to communities, strong cooperative governance, enterprise risk management and the value of the seven co-operative principles on which a credit union is built.

“We congratulate Angela for winning the Significant Board Contribution Award at this year’s PEAK Awards,” said Eric Nadin, Prospera’s Board Chair. “In her 18 years as a director, she has proved to be a valuable member of the team and always looks out for the best interests of our members. We are proud to have her represent us and look forward to her contributions in the future.”
