House Fire Arson Says Chief

 

 

CHILLIWACK FIRE DEPARTMENT REACHES OUT TO THE

COMMUNITY FOR TIPS

he Chiliwack Fire Department was called out Monday to a house in the 46000-block of Fourth Ave. Crews were on this right away and threw all the equipment at their disposal on it.

"When firefighters arrived they found a vacant, two storey family residential home with flame and smoke showing from the second floor and attic space. Firefighters confined and extinguished the fire to the attic space of the house," said Mike Bourdon, Assistant Fire Chief in a release Tuesday.

This fire is believed to be deliberately set and is under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP.

There were no reports of injuries to fire crews or to members of the community.
