MONDAY—NOVEMBER—

on’t miss Cascadia Wind Ensemble's annual Remembrance concert Cascadia Remembers: Veterans and Vera Lynn. We'll pay tribute in music, words and visuals to Canadian veterans of the World Wars, the Middle East and the Balkans.

This very special concert will feature our traditional Sunset ceremony, with songs of remembrance, patriotism and celebration of freedom, and will showcase special guest soloists vocalist Crystal Hicks, piper Jamie McGrath, and distinguished members of Canada's military.

Then we'll treat you to songs made famous by Vera Lynn, Duke Ellington, Hoagy Carmichael, Glenn Miller, and many others.

This concert will be on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $13 for veterans, students and seniors, or bring the whole family for $40.  The tickets are available at the door, online at Cascadia-veterans.eventbrite.ca and at King’s Music in Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

The Cascadia Wind Ensemble was formed as a non-profit society in 2013 by Shannon Goldsmith to give adult and youth musicians  an opportunity for performance of great concert band repertoire.

In the last year, Cascadia has presented formal concerts in Abbotsford and has performed in community events in Chilliwack, Mission, Hope, Abbotsford and Delta.

The Ensemble was awarded a Gold standing and trophy for Outstanding Community Band at the 2017 Kiwanis Fraser Valley International Music Festival.
